Gandhinagar: A cabinet meeting is to be held today under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vijay Rupani.  The meeting may discuss the third wave of Corona, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Gujarat on the occasion of Teacher's Day on September 5, as well as the issue of starting Std. 6-8 schools.  An important meeting was held at the Chief Minister's residence yesterday.  Chief Minister Vijay Rupani had a meeting with the education department.  Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama was also present at the meeting.  Important questions of the education department were discussed.  On September 5, PM Modi's possible Gujarat tour was discussed.  The issue of starting Std. 6 to 8 classes is also likely to be discussed in the coming days.

 Earlier, Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama had issued a statement on the issue of starting primary schools.  Education Minister Bhupendrasinh Chudasama spoke to reporters on the issue of starting schools.  He said a decision on the matter would be taken after August 15.  The Education Minister had issued a statement on the issue of opening schools in phases.  He said that a decision will be taken after August 15 to start classes in the following schools.  More assistance has been provided by the state government than other states.
